Lethnot Pre-school

We have no pre-school here at Lethnot at the moment.

A quiet nursery in a peaceful glen is the perfect place to send young children. At Lethnot you will find a bright, attractive environment, with resources for all stages of development.

   

 

The nursery is very much part of the school. This helps making the transition to school a smooth and happy one. We have a large playground with a sandpit, willow arbour, wooden hut and grass areas. These areas set the scene for some fantastic imaginative play.

In February we were inspected by H.M.I.E. Our successful report was published on the 13th of June 2007.

We were inspected by the Care Commission towards the end of last term and once again we received an excellent report with no recommendations.

Movie Premiere.

The Magic Staircase

The nursery and P1-3's wrote and directed and produced their own film The Magic Staircase.

We transformed the school into a cinema for an audience of invited guests who thoroughly enjoyed the end result. The children enjoyed every part of the making of their own blockbuster film.

Congratulations to The Magic Staircase

The Magic Staircase was shorlisted for the Discovery Youth Screen Awards this year.

We travelled to Dundee to The DCA and watched all six of the shortlisted films but unfortunatley with did not win, but we had a lovely afternoon.
